1965 Mustang 2+2 A code GT package Muscle Car in outstanding condition both mechanically and cosmetically, top Driven Show Car, all original body panels, proper under hood 'tack' welds for inner fenders with proper VIN #s, original floors with red-oxided painted presentation, a terrific, detailed, rebuilt 289cid engine with excellent compression, 4v carberator, excellent linkage, Cobra kit, a rare, freshly rebuilt valuable T120 4-speed transmission, correct shifter, new front discs brakes, driven show condition in Wimbledon White, uprated Shelby suspension, rear traction bars, front and rear sway bars, shown with 'R' code wheels, radials, this is a top road show car, these are the type specifications that Europeans demand to enjoy their classic cars, all redone chrome trim pieces, black interior, VIN#5R09A178493 has extensive receipts, Fraser Dante sponsored a charity tour for late Fall 2007 and this car was featured and driven through the North Georgia mountains, Hayesville, with California history in top condition, rebuilt 289 engine with excellent compression, 4v carberator, rare Factory Hi-Po exhaust manifolds connecting to full dual exhaust system with 'H' pipe and Flowmaster 40s, MCA Cobra kit under hood, Ford aluminum intake, excellent clutch assembly with resurfaced flywheel just installed, very rare original T-10 4-speed transmission, just rebuilt, (SEE LINK), factory Mustang stock shifter new chrome handle with reverse lock out, period looking mounted tachometer, very nice and correct Wimbledon White paint, this paint looks great with a quality just nice enough for driven show, the full Black standard bucket seated interior is correctly done, believed original and in fine shape, fold down rear with excellent chrome strips connecting the carpet on the fold downs, original 'R' San Jose and Los Angeles history in the South recently, full new Stainless Steel front disc brake assembly, Shelby sway bar, rear Shelby traction bars just added to the 'A' code by Fraser Dante, has the GT front lights and the rear GT valence for the dual exhaust system, for a great mellow sound and good power, the exhaust system is full aluminized with a "H' pipe and brand new Flowmasters Series 40, the wheels are either stock Styled Steel version or the repo 1965 Shelby 'R' code as shown with proper center caps, top mechanicals even include the balanced driveshaft, the Wimbledon White has gone through a full 'freshening', has great luster and is in driven show or cruise night condition, this very nice car just finished with emphasis on being a top driven show car, as a proper 'A' code 289 4v car, this has a nicely built and detailed 289cid, excellent compression, today this has an Edelbrock 550 cfm Performer with electric choke, RARE factory original 'K' code HiPo exhaust manifolds, Ford Aluminum performance intake manifold painted correct black to look stock, one could have this Edelbrock carb or a concours restored Autolite 4100, one is better for show and the other for actual driving, the compression is very good, all the date codes are even correct in the heads, this engine is very crisp, Ford Performance dress up kit, radiator just removed and sent out to top shop for full check, full new heater box assembly and heater core, all new hoses, has the oil pressure and temperature gauges just mounted under the dash for safety, set up to remove for show, dual exhaust system with nice performance mufflers are set off with the red oxide floors, has the proper period rumble, this car was taken to Pricci, a very nice Atlanta restaurant for the 2007 Academy Awards fancy party (SEE LINK), this pretty can correct car was parked in the front to help the 'show' at the restaurant, everyone was very proud of this car, then constant upgrades to make this the Fraser Dante driven show car, red oxide floors, all the detailed brake lines to the rear are excellent, when the car was received the stock factory drum brakes for the 'A' code were in good shape but everyone who wants such a car desires front disc brakes for an "A' code car, a full GT stainless steel disc brake conversion is just installed, (SEE LINK), note these excellent brakes have the fresh rubber lines included with the whole kit, rear drums are gone through, this was done to handle the all for terrific stopping, the full brakes are new from front new discs, terrific wheel cylinders, the working Emergency brake system was installed, Shelby new heavy duty front sway bar, Shelby rear Traction Master bars from the Shelby GT 350 also just installed (See LINK), thusly this has a full suspension rebuild by Fraser Dante for Summer 2008, thus very correct engine is cast as 65AE-6015E that is correct for the car, the rebuild shows with the outstanding dry reading just taken that shows from 152 lbs to 168 lbs, the date code is hard to read and think it says 6D5 which would mean that the block is correct for the '65 to '66 Mustang, the heads are even dated to the car with '289 '65 stampings and dated 4L17 or December 17, 1964, right before the car was made in January, according to the history and the State of Georgia title, this is an 96,512 mile car, data tag information, the valuable T10 transmission has been completely rebuilt because the reverse gear was not quite up to our standards, photos document the exacting rebuild of this valuable transmission (SEE LINK), full transmission numbers, has all stock linkage, correct shifter, part of the detailing includes all new chrome throughout the mechanicals of the car are new, the front and suspension are great, part of the detailing includes all new chrome throughout the mechanicals of the car are new, has the 'K' code performance badge on the front fender, the trim around the tinted windshield is done, the 'B' pillar trim of the fastback is new, in order for the great appearance, full new chrome taillight bezels with original taillight lenses, these trim pieces look great, all the trim around the rear window is nice, believed original Carlite rear window, Carlite sides, all door handles are fresh, has a tinted windshield, for the Charity Tour, note that the temperature ran between 190 to 200 degrees the entire trip, warm reading on oil pressure was 65 lbs, after this trip to further enhance this great car, all the lights and turn signals work, even the Fog or Driving 4415 correct new lights have been installed and believed period ones taken out, headlights are halogens, the brake lights work with fresh buckets for the lights, this is really correct 1965 color as the off white with excellent body and beautiful paint in correct Wimbledon White, nice paint that is just finished with final buffing, there are only some minor touch up places that have been done with a top professional to bring up the luster, red GT side stripes look great, today this has mounted a more modern tire better for driving, BRAND NEW '65 'R' code repro in the 15x7" Torque Thrust 'D's with proper center caps that are on the car as shown, these have just been set for the car with new B.F.Goodrich SR4s in the 215/65/15 size that are balanced with inside weights, has full alignment, one could chose a stock, new 1965 14x5.5" chrome styled steel wheels with proper center caps, lug nuts, show 6.95x14 B.F.Goodrich Red Line tires that match the stripe should one choose, the shocks are new, standard heavy duty rears for the 14" styles steel wheels or rear gas shocks now installed for the 15" 'R' code wheels to make sure the chassis has the right attitude for either application, the very nice interior features the fresh dash bezel and the new Shelby wood steering wheel, a '65-'66 period looking new Autometer tachometer is added on the steering column for the 'Shelby' look (see LINK) and could be taken off should someone desire, the original carpet of the fold down seat has just been dyed black, hard to find so original and in such fine condition, the chrome and trim are fresh, new bumpers, great extent to make a top driven performance show car, the steering box is still the original with numbers HCC AT 5A14C and has been tightened when the car is aligned, one has to see how really beautiful this Wimbledon White color with the side Red GT stripes, note the FACTORY ADVERTISING that shows this white car with the Ford original GT interior has brand new 80/20 loop black carpets over dry solid floors, Mustang floor mats, safety belts, this car really is terrific when you see it in person along with the proper attitude with the fresh shocks and the uprated suspension, even the driveshaft has just been taken out, when the balancing was accomplished, bearings were pressed at the yokes for great and smooth driving, the front heavy duty Shelby sway bar and new installation of the rear overrider sway bar and the front end sent up with full alignment just completed with specifications in the file, this Shelby type Mustang GT 2+2 is set up to drive exceptionally, this whole car is detailed and it has all the 'eyes in the world', this is the type of car that a European calls 'perfect', nice cosmetics and top mechanicals, all ready for showing and driving Summer 2008, $42,950
