1964 Impala Sport Coupe restored Atlanta driven Easter 2008 show car, the original beautiful color is Lagoon Aqua (BC/CC)in base coat clearcoat, the one new paint has great luster, original correct engine, uprated intake, choice of wheels and tires, top notch body with all original body panels, floors and great frame, factory stock blue restored interior with the proper two material interior and beautiful interior panels are used in this fully restored 1964 Impala for sale, has had meticulous effort to yield a stock look, top mechanicals from a car that has never left Atlanta, this matching number Impala Sport Coupe for sale has the rebuilt original matching numbers 327cid, nicely detailed engine bay, was an original 250 hp engine, this original engine is now bored +.030 with all new pistons, bearings, rings and other such work to make it work perfectly, polished aluminum valve covers, Performer intake manifold, Carter 4v AFB carburetor, this engine should produce about 275 reliable horsepower with the final work for Summer 2008, heavy duty Griffin aluminum radiator for great cooling, new turbo 350 transmission, full aluminized dual exhaust system with Walker turbo mufflers, 3:36 ratio rear end with new bearings and seals for easy driving, full braking system rebuild, uprated front discs, the restored factory correct bench seated interior has the tachometer period mounted on the steering column, a newer, updated steering wheel, plus the original steering wheel goes with the package, taken out by Fraser Dante for an Easter 2008 drive in the Buckhead area, this Impala really drives exceptionally to a meticulous degree, great attention was spent by Fraser Dante to make sure the mechanicals are really reliable, good performance, working air conditioning with uprated radiator for the air conditioning to work exceptionally, this is a two family owned car with the last owner from 15 years and his cousin before him, hard to find such a good Southern history, also, hard to find all original floors, fenders, quarters and outstanding frame, these quality vehicles with a complete frame on restoration are exceptional finds, three sets of wheels and tires are offered, a choice of Torque Thrust 15x8 fronts with Cooper Cobra 235/60/15 radials, rears are 15x8s with 245/60/15s that were just installed and balanced, also, should one chose, a matched set of 16" Torque Thrust wheels with new 235/60/16 radial tires around could be installed, also, should someone desire, a set of GM 'JJ' 15" wheels were located and have been completely restored with considerable effort, bead blasted, primed and painted in the factory color, then brand new 215/75/15 radial narrow band whitewall radial tires are just installed and balanced, four original period genuine Chevrolet hubcaps are installed for a 'stock' look (SEE LINK), it is really hard to find such 'real' equipment, one can chose their choice of wheels, this restoration work is just completed for Summer 2008 by Fraser Dante, this 1964 Impala is gorgeous piece from a meticulous initial builder worked extensively on the body, paint and trim work, the final work on the paint is just completed with buffing by a top professional to a very high degree, in the restoration that was a long process in Atlanta, note this car was found from the first Atlanta owner by the uncle and cousin of the Lockheed man who then restored the car (SEE LINK TO TITLE), lots of this effort consisted of hard work for the stainless steel and small chrome pieces are done by a true craftsman, this fabulous trim and bright work finished that looks great by this professional includes the front grill, the stainless trim around the glass is terrific, the windshield is tinted glass, windows roll up properly, all of the rubber and felts are excellent, day/night mirror, the dash pad is excellent, the full interior dash is stock with added gauges under the dash for volt meter, oil pressure and water temperature, the interior panels are beautiful with the turq and chrome trim as factory, the radio is a Jensen AM-FM-tape unit with rear valance mounted speakers, right rear antenna, even the ash tray and glove box are new, the headliner is completely replaced and well fitted, complete factory repro rear valence with full surround that are like new, the fully done 'A' chrome pillars and window trim is polished to a higher degree, dual outside Chevrolet mirrors, note the exceptional trunk that has been painted with the original spackle, has a spare tire and jack, the original carberator and intake that were sold some years ago to anther Atlanta person, the present carb and intake make the engine work far better for night cruise, the fresh engine is an original 327 built by an Atlanta Lockheed aircraft man who insisted on high standards, this is a great car with attention to make this a driven show car with this engine built to high standards, to make sure the cooling works well for the engine and the air conditioning, a heavy duty aluminum 4 core radiator is used with special fan shroud for excellent cooling, this whole engine compartment is highly detailed for show conditions with the inner fenders painted with semi gloss, factory washer bottle installed, has the GM power steering, has a rebuilt 3-speed Turbo 350 transmission that works as it should, far better than the original Powerglide, this really works great and road tested, working tachometer properly placed on the steering column, the fantastic front end of the car looks terrific, the rebuilt factory air conditioning unit works great, the inner trunk has the proper splatter for show detail, has the trunk mat, this wonderful bench seated interior has been restored to original, this proper material has the original woven material of the two weaves that are inserted, the full padding is completed to make this firm and even, excellent factory seat belts, the headliner is new and beautifully installed, the dash and all the bezels are redone, the instruments work, all new turquoise carpet, all of this work is to be stock in appearance, the nice quality chrome bumpers look very good, this car was built at Lakewood Assembly Plant, Atlanta, GA in September 1963, this even has 1963 date coded Air conditioning hoses, the front and rear suspension are rebuilt with PST poly-graphite bushings, full ball joints, tie rod ends, idler arm, has the added rear sway bar yields a better ride, GM 605 power steering box with documented alignment just completed, the 'Master' power brakes system installed during the restoration with the front disc brakes, the wheels have been taken off and the brakes checked to make sure the wheel cylinders are dry and the pads have lots of material left, since they had been done a while ago, the rear drum brakes were then just rebuilt with new brake cylinders and springs for Summer 2008 (SEE LINK), 4 excellent shocks, the full tune is just completed with fresh
