Here is a great looking 1968 Mustang Convertible that has lines that are very desirable, these 1968's and the 1967's have the fine aggressive look of the current model Mustangs, these bodies are also the basis of the new Shelby Convertibles that have virtually the same look, the paint just finished by professional painter in Florida who had found a very original car in North Florida, then the final buffing was done by Fraser Dante that makes this look great with wonderful luster, even the optional hood turn signals work, the proper Black side C-stripe and the optional luggage rack really sets this appearance off on this paint with nice luster to high standards, this has an outstanding look, all the chrome is really nice, when received this had the paint work just done with the very original engine and suspension, nicely done including areas like the gas tank filler piece,

ENGINE: The original C-code car has the very correct 289cid engine with 2v carburetor when found, all signs that this is the original engine in the car, then engine has been upgraded with additional work with a new Edelbrock intake that is painted the correct Ford Blue for a stock look with the Edelbrock matching #1403 500 cfm carburetor, this will yield more power and better gas mileage and have lighter weight on the front end, it is found that even if the older carberators that might be correctly done but not work as well as the newer carberators, simply age has affected these older carbs with heat and parts and worn out bores, these newer carbs are the best to enjoy and drive, for Summer 2010, to make this an outstanding driven show car the final engineering work was completed, the owners of Fraser Dante drove this about 80 miles in the Atlanta heat on stop and go traffic and also on the expressway on the 4TH OF JULY WEEKEND, car works great, upon its return to the showroom, the oil and filter was changed again, the coolant system was flushed and the radiator sent out to a top sub for rebuilding, a full check of the transmission fluids was completed, brake and rear end fluids, all to make the new owner very happy, very dated engine pieces that photos show (SEE LINK), the heads are marked '289' and have date codes of 7L7 WF and 7L6 WF, the original 2v intake (SEE LINKS OF THE ORIGINAL INTAKE AND CARB) has the date of 7H25, casting of C8AE, the original 2v carb has a 8ZG dating, both sets of carberators and intakes go with the package should the new owner desire the 2v setup, the new work by Fraser Dante included new lifters to make the hydraulic valves work well, both intake set ups come with the package at full price, the radiator was sent to a shop and gone through, this engine bay has very nice detailing under the hood, proper Cobra air cleaner installed,

INTERIOR: As factory ,very nice Silver Blue two-tone stock interior, new Blue carpet just installed, brand new white power convertible top with new lift cylinders and line kit just installed, new boot, has the full dash and pod redone, new dash and shifter bezels, the radio is the Mustang AM-FM with cassette, note that the hard to find ORIGINAL STEERING WHEEL is just restored by a top professional,

A new dual aluminized exhaust system with mellow Flowmaster mufflers, these will yield more power and better gas mileage, has correct chrome rear extensions (SEE LINK), note the underchassis is just detailed and the rear end chuck is painted correctly, the date codes of the rear end is a C7OW casting and the original Ford tag has the date code of 2.79 (SEE LINK), from all history and information, this appears to be the original engine and suspension, Fraser Dante has made sure the engine works outstandingly, the C-4 automatic transmission has also just been checked by a top transmission shop, the original 289cid engine looks great, when received, the suspension was believed to be original, note that extensive work on the suspension is completed for safe and fun driving, the power steering checked,

Very nice underchassis that is extremely clean, very original with some good steel work on the underchassis through the years, no undercoating to show how solid they are, this is just painted for driven show presentation, has the new convertible support piece in the middle of the chassis below the exhaust, this car is nice after all these years, believed to be a low mileage vehicle out of Florida, All the fenders and quarters are very straight, the rear quarters have been worked in the lower areas only in the restoration with the top panels as factory with the Ford inner drip rail stampings, all metal of the fenders and quarters is very solid, some work was done in the restoration with some foot wells to make sure the car is very solid, nicely detailed trunk with spare and jack, new chrome bumpers in great condition, dual outside chrome mirrors, even the 2 year only great looking aggressive hood with stock turn signals with rear facing lights work, full new stainless lower rocker moldings, the top header panel for the top has new chrome inserts just completed by Fraser Dante for show, new rocker moldings, has the optional fender moldings,

Great care is done on the suspension to make sure this drives very, very well, the suspension has just been gone through, very expensive lower control arm assemblies with ball joints, upper ball joints, idler arm, inner and outer tie rod ends, strut rod bushings (SEE LINK OF PARTS), new alignment just completed, a new Shelby 1" sway bar is added to improve the handling from the factory small one (SEE PHOTO), This has completely new brake components both front and rear, photos will show their condition (SEE LINK), the braking system is new with the power drum brakes just redone, new brake cylinders, note that the Air conditioning system just extensively checked at great effort, all new brake shoes, drums turned or new, brake hoses, all four wheel cylinders wit full hardware kits, thusly, all the brakes and suspension are in excellent condition with photo and receipt documentation of the work just completed, (LINK), New Radial GT 205/70/14 GrandAm tires on chrome Magnum wheels, these above items and a full check of the mechanicals with a top tech going through a complete tune up to make sure the car performs well, again, fresh oil, filter, spark plugs, wires, the radiator is rebuilt, all work is finished for Summer 2010 shows, $31,950
