
A highly desirable 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible that has all the 'eyes' in the world, top mechanicals, terrific Bright Red paint with Black hood and stripe trim into the trunk, new black top, excellent black bench/bucket interior, this drives and looks so good that this is the Fraser Dante show car in North Atlanta in April 2008, full redo of front and back including carpet, new expensive Alpine AM/FM/CD system with remote changer in stock location, nice chrome treatment of the beautiful notched 442 bumpers and continues with the whole car including the hard to get fender trim, equipped with power steering, power front disc brakes that are fresh, this convertible has a strong rebuilt 350cid engine, the best small block year, 4v carberator, correct air cleaner, dual exhaust system, excellent suspension, sway bars front and rear, drives exceptionally, great air conditioning system just uprated to 134a and fully checked, this is a nice frame-on restoration with engine and body being redone from all information received, the normal 350cid engine is rated at 310 horsepower that is the best year for this high horsepower, with dry compression reading of 173 to 178 lbs per cylinder yields solid compression should give even more than the factory rating of 310 horsepower, nice black bench bucket seats in very terrific condition, these seats work great with the fold down for the console look and lots of room in the car, has the desirable factory tilt sport steering wheel, correct body colored SSIII wheels, very good 225/70/14 radial tires, the car came out of Oklahoma and Texas to Atlanta for the finish of the restoration, there was some body work in the past that is normal for such a car, the red paint looks really great with the high gloss paint that is just buffed for great luster that is complemented with the black hood and side striping, this is a terrific looking car, all this black matches with the black top and interior, this has an original boot plus an new one should one desire, the front suspension has had a recent rebuild with check of bushings and ball joints to make sure they were nice, then a new alignment to make sure this tracks exceptionally, the braking system has also just been completely checked to make sure they work exceptionally and safely (SEE LINK), when this was taken to a local show, ones should note that this drives exceptionally with virtually no cowl shake nor bounce of a classic car, this features both front and rear sway bars, these units plus has the valuable 442 boxed rear control arms make this car handle exceptionally, VIN#342670M162836 shows 24,110 is not actual, recent documented work including taking out the whole interior, the floors were carefully checked to make sure they were good, only one patch area was addressed to make sure they are very solid, then the floors were primed and painted black (SEE LINK), then a brand new 80/20 black loop carpet is installed, makes the car solid and look good, the black very nice interior is equipped with two front and three rear black seat belts for safety, it is believed that this could be the original interior with only a piping on the driver's seat back only slightly loose, this car is nicely restored for a local cruiser or Saturday show car, the car has fresh oil, filter, wipers work, taillights just checked, turn signal blinkers work, new sending unit for gas gauge installed, the upgraded Alpine radio is a CDA 9851 unit tilt unit with sub outputs, MPS capable, 8" Boston door speakers with separate small tweeters, JL audio 4300, 4 channel AMP unit in trunk, the antenna is hidden in the windshield, has a special interior trunk custom piece on the back of the trunk to clean up the appearance, this piece can be used or not, personal choice, all the chrome work includes the proper hood chrome inserts and the driver's side outside mirror, these 1970 to 1972 Cutlass convertibles were extremely popular in their day, still in the New Millennium that all ages love them, great lines and modern devices like power steering, power brakes, automatic transmissions and parts that are easy to find, the black top is in excellent condition and it is equipped with the expensive 'glass' window, this Cutlass is updated with the air conditioning system with the 134a just checked are among the work just completed for Summer 2008, $25,950
