1972 Cutlass Supreme convertible with the original, matching number 445 cid engine, correct Rochester 4v carberator, very nicely cosmetically restored with excellent mechanicals, this is a great looking original change done as done in gorgeous factory Sequoia Green (48), a beautiful dark green color with slight metallic tint especially pretty in the sunlight with the white side stripes, 442 rear bumper, working factory air conditioning just redone, full dual exhaust system just fully checked from the exhaust manifolds out, even the alignment has just been completed, great local show cruise night car, the paint and body look terrific with professional buffing just completed for Summer 2008, this was an original 'Supreme' model and looks like a 442 with the proper trim around the car, this was restored with the original matching number 455 cid engine, the car has the correct 250 horsepower rating UB engine with excellent compression just taken, with dry, cold readings just taken of 145 to 150 lbs across this is excellent, (SEE LINK) which sounds absolutely correct for the 1972 'UB' engine of 8.50:1 compression and 250 underrated horsepower with enormous torque, compression is very, very even across and appears to be very original in this matching number engine, has all the power equipment everyone wants, here is a Georgia car for many years, went up North for a brief period and then back to Atlanta, VIN#3J67U2M106750 shows an original 442/455 with the original 455cid original engine, casting #396021F and VIN#2M106750 on the engine, the tune up is just completed for Summer 2008, this is most valuable as last year of this model run, wonderful popular car in the 70's and a top collector car for the new millennium, this last restoration yields top mechanicals so it is a driven show car, the engine bay is just detailed with new hood pad just installed, correct air cleaner, all of this is right for the automatic transmission with factory air conditioned car, note that this 455cid engine has excellent torque on this car that is extremely strong 370 lbs, this air conditioning is terrific with the factory A/C with all fittings and lines, hoses, belts just checked by an experienced tech with the air conditioning recharge for Summer 2008, all the speeds except the high work on the original blower, the underchassis of this car is most solid, the chassis is nicer than photos will show, i.e., they are rust free, very original from the Atlanta area being cleaned and scrubbed for driven show presentation, (LINK), fresh fluids under the hood, oil, filter, fresh spark plugs, a really wonderful white bucket seated interior, white door panels with wood trim in great condition, same wood trim done nicely on the dash, correct Olds safety belts, automatic transmission with console mounted correct wood handled shifter, tinted windshield, the original AM radio in car that is not working at present, correct SSII body colored wheels, matching trim rings, Olds center caps, lug nuts, 225/70/R14 Dayton Daytona SR radial white lettered tires just balanced, spare, correct trunk with proper splatter, chrome is excellent, great bumpers, nice white top, white boot, optional glass window, full system check, detailing just completed for nice luster by a top professional, the doors absolutely open and close very well, hang great, this car being an original and very correct dark green car with white interior and top looks terrific, the dark green color with the contrast white stripes and the 442 bumpers make this car stand out, the dual outside body colored sport mirrors also look great, this really drives great, alignment done with specs as part of the file, a great buy for a terrific cruiser with the factory good color that many people like, all the chrome including correct full wheel moldings, front grill Olds emblem, door handles are extremely good, very good window inside cranks, tinted windshield, day/night rear view mirror, even has the sport steering factory wheel, proper trunk splatter, jack, tool, tie down, very good white power top, glass window, the standard grill in the car is in fine condition, the hood chrome pot metal trim that is hard to get is nice, the five factory safety belts are very desired, again, one of the high points is the underchassis that is extremely solid, no signs of being replaced, clean, painted black with no undercoating driven show condition, shows as car that was found in Georgia and went away to a collector and then came back, it is believed that that rear quarters are original, no changes are apparent, rear springs good as are the fronts as the car sits, well, the shocks are brand new, expensive Sensa-trac units heavy duty units with the front being the special heavy duty, note the fresh alignment with specs (SEE LINK), all of this to make this 455cid ride exceptionally, the power brakes checked with disc front pads and rear shoes, (LINK), power steering checked fine, proper 442 rear bumper looks great, front bumper again original and very, very good, cold air conditioning that has a brand new radiator just installed for proper cooling and looks very correct, this is the last year of the very desirable Cutlass convertibles at a very fair price, $32,950
