Very, very nice 1951 Ford F1 Deluxe 5 Star Extra pickup finished in beautiful Red, fully all steel and beautiful frame-off restoration to the highest quality, grill and front and rear bumpers are done in very expensive chrome treatment for great 'eyes', these add to the spectacular look of this classic F1 pickup, wonderful wood bed, great stock look, has the original, rebuilt 239cid flathead V8 with 1000 show miles, fully rebuilt by the grandson with all internals, the engine works just wonderful, purrs as a fresh flathead should, has the dress up bolts, hard to find such a flathead that works so well, the engine bay is detailed with some dress up wiring covers, these are optional to the one's personal desires and could be removed, has a full dual exhaust system, nice mellow sound and 'rumble' to this engine, this vehicle was featured in the July 2008 meeting of the Early V8 Club when they had their meeting at Fraser Dante (SEE LINK), this wonderful 1951 Ford F1 for sale is fully show detailed, equipped with proper column shift 3 speed transmission, the vehicle was located with Crager wheels at the Atlanta show, great effort and search is accomplished in finding an expensive set of 1951 Ford F1 15" steel repro wheels, said wheels are hard to fine today, they are primed and then painted body color, then the proper Ford hubcaps are added and the chrome trim rings, finally a brand a wide white bias ply tires are mounted and balanced, since the truck came with 16" wheels original and the safe new wheels are the 15", a set of Coker Classic 7.60x15 3" wide white bias ply tire is just installed, this size is extremely close to the original stock size, the outstanding look is 'as new', note the Ford F100 guide that yields great advice for the proper appearance of this desirable truck (GUIDE LINK), this is a one family vehicle since 1955 from Atlanta, the extensive work includes the frame being power coated, the body is finished in really nice base coat, clear coat that is a Porsche Guards Red that is very close to the factory color of Vermilion Red, just buffed to wonderful gloss, all steel everywhere, this Deluxe package includes the dual windshield wipers, chrome at this stage, ashtray, driver and passenger sun visors, special hood molding with the chrome bars on the hood, in the 1951 period, this were produced with a painted grill in argent due to the Korean War, the original grill and bumpers were sent away for a gorgeous chrome treatment to make a really attractive statement, very hard to find such a solid and original classic pickup, the VIN # on the original data tag on the glove box shows this V8 truck was produced at the Atlanta plant, it was purchased by the restorer's grandfather in 1955, the family kept the truck all of these years and the grandson restored it for shows, it took an amazing amount of knowledge to make this work so well, great show wood bed, has the upgraded chrome grill, nice chrome bumpers, as done initially had modern chrome wheels that are shown and for Summer 2008, black interior, fully restored, beautiful seat, the chassis and frame are fully done, finished in black, Fraser Dante specializes in classic and fully restored pickups and this is a terrific restoration, extensive work has been done on this full restoration to make this a top driven local show truck, even the windows are excellent and the new windshield has fresh rubber seal, the brakes are completely rebuilt, the side of the bed and the tailgate are new, whole bed area took a lot of effort, the wood is varnished, stainless strips, rear chains are new with covers, the running boards are even steel, they have the Ford step plates, the correct 239cid flathead engine was built to run exceptionally well, it literally purrs, this has the proper 2v Ford carberator, proper oil bath air filter, this whole engine was done and was so good that did not need to be bored according to the builder, fresh pistons, rings, crank turned, bearings, the heads are redone with valves specially sent off for finishing, note the dual chrome radiator pipes, has great effort in the engine both mechanically and cosmetically, has fresh oil, external oil filter, full clutch assembly, new flywheel all done in the build, the radiator is redone with fan shroud for better cooling, has a 12 volt system with an modern alternator for excellent lighting in the modern headlights, under the hood it is detailed for top driven show condition with high standards, the wiring harness and whole system is new, has a show cover on wiring that could stay or show the wires, personal choice, it has dual taillights for safety on the 12 volt system, all the glass has been redone, the front and rear windows are full new rubber seals, the chassis is stock, has the four wheel drum brakes that are rebuilt along with all the hoses and lines, this stops great, to make sure that this works exceptionally well as of these brakes are checked for Summer 2008, the full dash is redone, note that this still has the rare original data tag on the glove box that is the original location to show how well this has been kept, (SEE THE LINK), the beige velour fully done front seat is lovely, this is the adjustable seat for the Deluxe package, note the headliner with an updated interior light and door panels match, the beige carpet looks terrific, has no heater, the whole front dash is restored to top quality, 'BD' gauges in stock location, Custom Autosound radio, still has the original data tag on the glove box (SEE LINK), one could have a choice of the stock wheels or a modern Crager as shown, this is simply personal choice, note that in 1951 these had hard to find like this, really a terrific vehicle for driven show, Fraser Dante specializes in classic pickups and this a really, really nice, nice example of an all steel classic pickup with great history that is ready for Summer 2008, $34,950
