SUSPENSION & BRAKES Simply said, this is believed to be the finest 1965 Mustang 'K' Code GT Convertible in the USA, judged at the highest levels, fantastic Raven Black, Red Pony interior, black top, matching numbered engine, every part is exactly as factory with all numbers as produced by Ford, literally, every bit is researched to make sure this factory correct, see attached 'number sheet' to ascertain correct and numbered parts (SEE LINK), DATATAG info, used as a reference with "The 289 High Performance Mustang" by Tony Gregory, 3d Edition, (LINK), note that the full history of this fine and correct 1966 MUSTANG 'K' CODE GT CONVERTIBLE is fully explained in the article in Antique Automobile, March/April 2006, the Official Publication of the Antique Automobile Club of America with history by Randy Stone and photos by West Peterson (SEE LINK), these men are both known by the writer of this report, note that these 'K' codes are less than 1% of the Mustang production, the 2+2 fastbacks were the basis for the Shelby GT 350s, very few of these GT 'K' codes were convertibles, from the information supplied from Randy Stone and the careful examination by Fraser Dante in Winter 2008, only the radiator fan is a correct repro because an original can not be found, fantastic show history giving the wonderful awards this has won, for Winter 2008, a final prep is made with check of every cosmetic detail along with all mechanicals to make sure this drives exceptionally to couple the cosmetics, even the brake cylinders are checked, the underchassis is prepared to be a trailer, mirrored presentation, extensive work is just completed with full check of everything with photo documentation, full professional buffing just completed, this has the matching 'everything' that are most important to the value, the outstanding build and show credentials, absolutely fabulous, restored 1965 'K' Code GT Mustang Convertible in Raven Black all proper 'GT' fog lights and GT equipment, excellent compression, has the proper 289 solid lifter heads that are correct for this car, engine block VIN number, (PHOTO), an Autolite 4100 4v restored carberator with dating, correct Cobra chrome air cleaner assembly with special Hi-Po orange air filter, proper Hi-Po exhaust manifolds, engine detail fresh, proper 4-speed transmission, Owner's Manual, there is a list of 'K code specific parts that are listed and shown in the 289 'K' code Tony Gregory book and then verified with notes (SEE LINK), this is a true investment piece, $100,000
