1966 Corvette 427/425 Convertible is a top collector car, here is a gorgeous, fresh restoration of cosmetics, mechanicals and suspension of a very desirable 'mid-year' Corvette Convertible, (SEE LINK FOR SAMPLE OF PHOTOS), one of the best colors of Nassau Blue, matching everything, the engine has the VIN# matching the engine, casting is 3869942, these big block 427cids with the 4V carberator(L72) actually drive better than the 3x2 set up, note that all the NASCAR race cars today use this same 4v set up, great power, easy to adjust and drive, the sound of this fresh build really is awesome, hard to find such a fine build of the engine with the 'rumble' as the factory intended, the carberator is a correct Holley R3247A, correct air cleaner extensive time has been spent with the 'numbers' on this car to find its history, (SEE LINK), has the close ratio 4-speed Muncie transmission(M21), even the air cleaner is factory correct, factory N14) side exhaust adds to the look and value of the car, (P48) Aluminum knockoffs, working AM/FM, great attention to detail in the most exacting items, the convertible appears to have a very original body, there are no signs the front or rear fenders have been replaced, the black interior looks as new, the seats have been padded in the restoration as well as the side panels, with the factory side pipes and the correct wheels with Gold Line show tires, this looks spectacular and 'fast' just sitting there, the frame seems very nice during its full restoration, has all of the factory numbers both stamped and on the frame as original and for judging, the floors are original from examination and then detailed for 'natural' finish as set for by NCRS, solid underchassis, (LINK), the paint is exactly correct color, a urethane was used as the original lacquer would not last over five years before cracking, after the paint was done, a top quality 'finisher' completed the final gloss, this is an added improvement, note that all of the brake lines are new as factory, detailed, the complete braking system is rebuilt as factory, these discs brakes work extremely well and compare to modern cars today, a large file of restoration work accompanies this fine 1966 Corvette '427' Convertible for sale, the full final tune up includes the oil, filter, spark plugs and correct wires, with both the softtop and the optional hardtop, this is a 'complete' package Corvette, the dash pad has been restored in correct black, all the gauges work including the tachometer, has the desirable N32 teakwood steering wheel, this whole show Corvette is finished 2007, the owner of this valuable car is a true 'car guy', knowledgeable and a serious collector, great effort has been made to restore a correct, cosmetically, mechanically and investment Corvette with really great 'eyes' in a color that many people like, $75,000
