Engine: original high performance 289/4V with correct C6 intake, Autolite 4100 carberator (SEE LINK TO NUMBERS), heads are fully rebuilt with proper date codes, VIN #6T09K193998 is on the engine according to the builder and verified with photos of same when being built and then photos in Summer 2009 as it exists now, this goes along with statement of Fraser Dante group to verify that they have seen (SEE LINK), it is hard to see as it is under the passenger side engine mount, the builder’s name is part of the file on this terrific car, has fresh oil, Rotunda oil filter, proper spark plugs, brand new MCA spark plug wires just installed for show and driving, to performance, the engine Pertronix ignition and the separate dual points come as part of the package, the correct 289cid ‘K’ code engine is fully rebuilt with less than 100 miles from all reports, to insure top and safe performance, correct flat top pistons are used, crank turned, all new bearings, the camshaft is a Comp Cam 270S, double roller rockers that match the cam, double springs, hardened valve guides so unleaded gas can be used, the 4v carberator has been rebuilt by Pony carb, the solid lifter heads sound great, has the proper chrome valve covers, note the Ford High-Performance Equipment book that has the specs for this 289cid with 271 horsepower that shows a very strong 312lbs of torque, to make sure this fresh restoration works well, Fraser Dante just took out the driveshaft, transmission and other pieces to get to the flywheel and starter since we were not happy with the starter ‘mesh’, a new flywheel ring gear with measured teeth just done to make sure this high performance engine starts perfectly, the clutch is a high performance Center Force unit as seen in photos of www.fraserdante.com, power is put to the ground as the rear end is rebuilt with 4.11 traction lok,
the underchassis is highly detailed for show conditions, colors varied in how the Mustangs were produced, tremendous effort is completed to have the body color throughout the chassis, the drive train has less that 100 miles and is new throughout, the suspension is correctly done, all the tie rods, ball joints and other suspension pieces are new, note that the underchassis and suspension are all new, the proper, new GT disc brakes are from Stainless Steel with stickers just removed , (SEE LINK FOR BRAKES), all the bushings, tie rod ends are new, ball joints, springs and shocks are new, note that these suspension pieces were never greased from the initial build for show reasons just to look good when found by Fraser Dante, now these fittings have just had some small amount of grease in them to stop the sound of the new pieces, note the ‘A’ arms are correct with gray/black paint, the strut rod bushings are new with the detailed washes in the front of the suspension, the rear springs have the correct striping for show on them, the front ‘A’ control arms are painted two tone silver and black, the rear end is just installed with the correct 9” for this ‘K’ code, the builder states that the gears appear to be 4.11:1 with traction lok, rear end tag (LINK), the ‘bump stop’ is on the upper chassis location above the pumpkin as it should be, (LINK), the left rear quarter shows some minor signs of being ‘worked’ in the restoration, this quarter was left intact to use the original sheet metal that adds value to the car, it appears all the rest of the car has the original Ford sheet metal in the floors that are detailed for concours showing, the front fenders are stamped 1966 Ford fenders,
also the 1966 Mustang Owner’s Manual (SEE LINK), replica window sticker, (LINK), full windshield wiper system, all of the glass is stamped ‘Carlite’, the black deluxe interior has been completely restored, the seats are padded, the rear fold down has terrific seats and the fold down has new carpet and the side panels are like new, even the hard to do chrome large hinges on the fold down are redone, the side door panels along with the chrome inside and outside door handles are new, the dash pod is new, correct 1966 GT dash bezel, the odometer and speedometer were just checked, the factory AM radio is rebuilt, a full running check includes the brake lights, even the brake and accelerator pads are new and correct, all the dash lights and turn signals, information provided by the initial restorer believes this to be a low mileage and low owner vehicle, due to the age of this vehicle, all statements are made to the best information available after careful examination but originality or genuineness of any parts of said vehicle can not be authenticated due to age, note the underchassis is brand new show condition with full dual aluminized exhaust system with correct hangers, (LINK), really the excellent body just highly detailed, MCA show condition finished with full check of mechanicals for Summer 2010 showing, note that a MODIFIED 2+2 did $104,500 at Barrett-Jackson in Scottsdale, $62,950
