ENGINE: Fresh dated rebuilt 289cid engine with exceptional compression at 148 to 153 lbs across in the dry reading (SEE LINK), correct Autolite 2100/2V carberator, one can tell it is recently rebuilt since it works so well, still has the heat wrapped tube from the exhaust to the carberator for the choke to work, has the heat tube to the factory air cleaner, there are receipts that show extensive maintenance, note: one can not tell if this engine was rebuilt or a very strong example of a low miles original engine with such excellent compression, the compression and very smooth running condition are exceptional, the intake manifold is stamped C6 OE, the engine is a C6 unit, factory rated at 200 horsepower, the hydraulic valves are extremely smooth sounding, the spark plug wires are the expensive stamped, MCA approved, the radiator is flushed, correct radiator hoses, all belts new, expensive show positive and negative heavy duty battery cables, this has an extremely highly detailed engine compartment for top MCA showing, completely correct aluminized 'C-Code' single exhaust system with correct transverse muffler located between rear axle and fuel tank, the exhaust manifolds are correct and detailed, has a solid/stock, smooth exhaust sound with no smoking,
The C-4 automatic transmission shows that it was rebuilt some 2000 miles ago according to information supplied, shifts in all three gears correctly with the ‘kick down’ function working, the suspension system has fresh shocks, the bushings are good along with tie rod ends, sway bar bushings, all the ‘A’ arms are as factory, the test driving is completed for Spring 2010, this SHOW 1966 MUSTANG CONVERTIBLE comes equipped with the original steel wheels, the ORIGINAL Mustang spinner hubcaps that have been restored, tires are Goodyear Decathlon radial 195/75/14 narrow band whitewalls for excellent driving, the optional wheels are uprated 1966 styled steel wheels, trim rings, center caps fitted with 6.95x14 U.S. Royal Dual Red Line bias plys for shows and really set the car off with the great colors,
