1966 Mustang with pretty bright Red paint that has great ‘eyes’ with all the great excellent trim and GT look, dual outside mirrors, really great luster on the paint along with the side Black GT stripes, 289cid/2v engine with the C4 automatic, power steering and brakes, new Black power top, Black boot, ‘R’ code period wheels, original ‘Buck’ tag, (SEE LINK), very solid chassis that is hard to find today, the body also looks excellent with the very nice restoration, the paint is a slightly brighter Red than stock that yields a really sensational look,
it is a ‘T’ Code (6 cylinder VIN#6T08T249577) chassis convertible now upgraded to an excellent 289cid, 2v engine, the reason these original 6 cylinders are used is because these vehicles were usually taken well care of without abuse, hard to find such a good chassis, the engine has the intake casting of C5OE-9425-B, the correct Autolite 2v 2100 carberator has a C6DF B coding, has very good compression in the +/- 160 lbs range across, this shows it has been recently ‘done’, painted in full correct Ford Blue color, Blue FOMOCO air cleaner, produces 210 horsepower with the 2v carb, note that these 2100s have large venturi’s and give excellent low end power that is terrific for the street, has the dual GT full exhaust system that exit through the rear valance, 8mm Taylor performance spark plug wires with fresh distributor, battery just checked with good cables, windshield washer system, has the fresh dual line power brakes, power steering,
great appearance in the paint and new chrome bumpers is enhanced with the GT lights in the front that are not connected, GT gas cap, finished in really pretty brighter CandyApple Red paint, this contrasts with the nice side Black side stripes, the Black seats and fully done interior have front and rear safety belts, the rosette black buckets are recently done and nicely padded, the doors are also done correctly, this has a nice Black dash interior with proper ’66 bezel, good padding on the black dash, Mustang newer Custom Autosound AM-FM radio, day/night mirror, nice black stock steering wheel, black good carpet completes the interior,
with the V8 conversion, the hubs and axles have been upgraded to proper V8 5-lug, then fitted with Torque Thrust ‘R’ Code wheels with center caps, new 195/60/R15 B.F.Goodrich Performance TA radial tires, brakes have just been checked after the new power brake upgrade, handling is enhanced with the heavy duty sway bar, this has extremely solid floors the floors show the fresh work to make it present well with a mirror as it shows most of the factory red oxide finish with the slight factor undercoating that is still there, (SEE LINK), really terrific floors, this is why these original 6 cylinder bodies are desired today being so solid, very nice trunk with full size spare and jack, again, the pretty paint with top luster and the dual outside mirrors complete the look, full tune for Spring 2010 includes all oil, filter, spark plugs, road test, $24,950
