This 1969 Mach I ‘R’ CODE that is a fabulous top Rotisserie Concours Show car completed to exacting standards, the T5’ CandyApple Red presents just as the car was made from the factory but to higher standards, the original engine is the 428cid with Ram Air hood, all numbers are dated, proper intake, all pollution, 4v correct carburetor, has Marti Report and window sticker (see LINK) to verify how correct this original ‘R’ code is,
History shows this was found from the original owner in North Carolina, then to south Atlanta where over a three period the concours restoration was started and then completed, every body part is original to the car including the chassis excepting the hood that had some damage, it was replaced with a Ford hood during the restoration, this has outstanding mechanicals completed after the original great effort was made to make VIN#9T02R136408 really a gorgeous factory correct Mach I that is highly detailed in every aspect, one of the great paint and bodies that one could do trailered show, this ‘T5’ CandyApple Red is a terrific color that was used in the Ford ads during its introduction (SEE LINK), this car looks EXACTLY as the model featured on pages 125 in The Complete Book of Mustang published in 1989, Library of Congress #88-63580, this car was the inspiration for the 2003 Mustang Mach 1, the sides are straight as an arrow, really terrific, has the factory gold racing striping, simulated rear quarter air scoops, deck lid rear spoiler, functional front air scoop with black painted large hood stripe, has the NASCAR style hood tie downs, the front black striping has been properly that is contrasted to the Black correct flat striping, this fine Mach I full dual exhaust, this engine sounds really fantastic with great rumble, this is a highly detailed engine compartment like factory, has the original C6 Cruise-O-Matic transmission as per the factory,
The Interior is the dark red Clarion Mach I knitted vinyl with Hi-Back bucket seats, this complete interior is fully restored with items like seat padding completed, all door panels, headliner is new, the dash pod is terrific, Philco AM radio in stock location, full console, working tachometer, power front disc brakes, this desirable 1969 MACH I is one of the top collector cars as it was and is always in style with its fine aggressive lines, this is one of the true collector vehicles in America and is most important as compared to the full sized Fords of that era, the Mustang is one of the most important cars in American culture, organizations like the Mustang Club of America make such a car highly desirable,
Engine: this features the 428cid CJ, fully rebuilt to correct standards by Rick Parker, a top Mustang restorer, the complete original engine has now complete rings, bearings, full head work, all cam gears, water pump all finished to better than factory standards, rebuilt radiator, the heads are dated correctly to the car, rebuilt with valves, springs, rockers, hydraulic lifters, thusly this is fresh, fresh, 4V correct carburetor rebuilt, all correct air induction system, the engine compartment is detailed highly for CONCOURS SHOWING, has the proper dual exhaust system that has great sounding mufflers, this has the final tune, timing done, spark plugs, belts and hoses, and clamps are just fresh on the car, the sound of this engine couples the power this engine emits, road test just completed (SEE NUMBER SHEET)
The underchassis is highly detailed for concours showing, (SEE LINK), the body was put on a rotisserie and every part detailed, then the suspension is completely rebuilt, all springs, shocks, front heavy duty sway bar, bushings for excellent handling and safety, work to make this perform to top standards includes the brakes were completely rebuilt with front discs, (SEE LINK), rear wheel cylinders, new drums, pads and hardware, bled and road tested, the tires are Remington Polyglas correct chrome 15x8 Magnum wheels, period proper Goodyear Polyglas F70-14 tires, REDUCED $68,950
