1965 Mustang 2+2 ‘GT’ package in beautiful Rangoon with strong ‘351’ engine with outstanding compression and detailed to top show standards and with excellent driving abilities accomplished, the 4-speed and uprated suspension on this really beautiful Mustang with stock body presentation is exceptional, this has been prepared to the highest standards both cosmetically and along top mechanicals for fantastic driven show presentation including its underchassis, rebuilt 351cid engine with 289 heads that is detailed to full stock look, fresh build along with excellent compression, has a really gorgeous proper Rangoon Red paint with White GT side striping, this has been buffed to a wonderful shine, has the GT front lighting and the rear GT exhaust valance, the red bucket seated interior includes all the rear carpeting with full fold down rear and all chrome trim, the ‘Shelby’ dash mounted tachometer looks terrific, fully restored factory console, the show look includes the highly detailed bay is very stock looking 351cid engine with proper ‘289’ intake, 4v carburetor, Cobra kit with ‘open’ valve covers, numbers are listed later in this report, new ‘K’ code manifolds leading to full new aluminized dual exhaust system, 4-speed transmission, the whole 2+2 is in outstanding condition both mechanically and cosmetically, top Driven Show Car with terrific suspension, brand new Tubular Coil Over front suspension, Shelby front sway bar, rear Shelby traction bars, built 3:55 8” rear end, the whole interior is done, the dash is as new, one must look at the attached photos to show the extent of the build by Fraser Dante, tremendous effort accomplished for maximum driving conditions for those who want to enjoy a top, top classic Mustang 2+2 ready as driven show presentation for Spring 2012,

History: this 1965 Mustang 2+2 was originally a ‘C’ code in outstanding condition with solid body when found in South Carolina, work was started there and then completed in Atlanta for a top Driven Show Car, the restoration is finished with tremendous effort accomplished for maximum driving conditions for those who want to enjoy a top, top classic Mustang 2+2, believed original body panels, very important proper metal under hood ‘tack’ welds for inner fenders with proper VIN # on drivers side, original floors with red-oxided painted presentation, Fraser Dante has completed a sensational underchassis with expertise in the presentation, the underchassis with red oxide floors that have then been cleared, then the detailed rear end chunk is detailed making this area fully show ready (SEE LINK) with many, many hours of preparation, this show professional work has taken knowledgeable expertise, constant upgrades includes new tubular suspension work to make this a driven show car to the highest standards, VIN#5F09C333895 has extensive receipts in the file of lots of work by Fraser Dante,

Engine and Transmission: a terrific, nicely stock detailed, rebuilt 351cid engine with 289 heads, can only tell its a 351 by the firing order, lots of work to bring to an excellent driving machine, here is good performance while yielding reliability and ease of maintenance, has excellent compression, with readings of 152 to 158 lbs in a dry cold reading (LINK), this is excellent for the fresh roller rocker engine, 4v Holley carburetor, according to the last owner, the full build included pistons, rings, crank turned, head work and the Comp Cam roller rocker setup with the new rocker arms, one can see from the photos of the heads (LINK) how fresh these are, the attached list of numbers (LINK) that clearly shows all the parts, the 351 block and 289 heads are dated ’67, same as the ’65-66s, the heads are C5s the intake C5, was about 1000 miles on the initial build that included all the bottom end work when acquired, then the final tune, setting the valves, carberator and road test by Fraser Dante’s top technician, the engine is highly detailed on the a stand (LINK) to look good, then lots of effort for detailing under the hood with the engine out of the car, photos the bare engine bay, stripped to metal and then highly detailed with 3 coats of the proper satin black (LINK),, MCA Cobra kit with very expensive ‘Cobra Open’ valve covers, chrome proper air cleaner with Hi-Po orange air filter, again, all the linkage is fresh, this work has taken many hours and lots of expertise,

has brand new K-Code exhaust manifolds just installed (LINK), these will keep looking great and they lead to the new handmade ‘A’ code aluminized 2 ½” exhaust pipe system with ‘H’ pipe and hangers with new Flowmaster Series 50 series mufflers (LINK) that is specially designed for this type exhaust manifold, these pipes exit through the GT rear exhaust valence with tips, this engine just sounds ‘crisp and mellow’ with this setup, excellent desirable 4-speed transmission is connected to the Hurst shift linkage for great shifting, fresh 3 row radiator removed and sent out to top shop for full rebuild, all hoses and clamps new, the alternator is new, all fluids fresh, Ford aluminum bell housing, excellent clutch assembly with full updated shift parts just set up for the new ‘K’ code Hi-Po manifold system, many receipts document said work, all the wiring is fresh,

Brakes and Suspension: tremendous work has gone into the underchassis of this great 2+2, many hours has been spent with  the new Global West tubular adjustable front suspension kit with A arms and the full kit that comes with the package (LINK), adjustable coil-overs, a 1 ¼” sway bar, has the upper Monte Carlo bar to stop chassis flex, this system is very expensive with lots and lots of hours to install and adds a new dimension to uprated driving, this new lower front end by 1” and light weight that is new on the market, all of this will add much better ‘turn in’ and tracking while driving, then a top suspension shop set up the alignment and ride height (LINK),

a full new, expensive Stainless Steel GT front disc brake assembly with full master cylinder just installed (LINK), the rear drums are fully rebuilt, (SEE LINK), the system is then bled and road tested, the rear Shelby traction bars show prepared and just added by Fraser Dante (LINK), new shocks around, (LINK) this work means safe driving, top mechanicals even include the fully checked driveshaft with fresh ‘U’ joints, this unit was worked at a top sub for balancing with its restoration, all the brake lines to the rear are brand new and provide excellent braking and great appearance, has the expensive Mustang Magnum wheels with center caps along with 215/70/14 B.F.Goodrich Radial TA’s installed for aggressive look and great handling with the above package, one could choose a stock 1965 14x5.5” chrome styled steel wheels with proper center caps, lug nuts, then use a 205/75/14 dual red line tire or even a 6.95x14 Red Line tire for more authentic show look, the handling is best for the Magnums with the updated suspension with the ‘red lines’ as the best showing and driving combination,

Interior/Trim: full set of lower white faced added gauges and upper ‘Shelby’ looking tachometer on dash (actually updated newer Autometer unit with Shelby decal) to monitor running condition, these units even light up at night, very nice full red interior included freshly constructed bucket seats with full padding, redone rear seats, door panels and full headliner, features the fresh dash bezel and the new gauges, has the fresh steering wheel, a fully restored valuable factory original console has been installed, expensive to do with the full chrome trim and very nice red paint, brand new 80/20 loop red carpet over dry solid floors, Mustang floor mats, dual safety belts, top dash mounted tachometer working, the optional fold down rear seats has the new red carpet with excellent condition, hard to install chrome strips connecting the carpet on the fold downs, has the new white faced oil pressure and temperature gauges just mounted under the dash for safety of this engine, these are set up to remove for show if someone did not desire, the trim around the windshield and rear glass area is nicely done, full new chrome taillight bezels, all the trim around the rear window is nice, door handles inside and out are fresh, has a new windshield, the brake lights and turn signals work, new bumpers, all the Mustang logos are new, the chrome and trim are fresh, the speedometer has been checked and works, has a factory AM radio,
