OUTSTANDING ENGINE, SUSPENSION JUST REBUILT, HIGHLY DETAILED
1965 Mustang Convertible in exceptional condition, top Driven show car that was found from an knowledgeable Mustang/Shelby/Cobra expert, the body and chassis in outstanding condition classic Mustang convertible, really superb body and underchassis, fresh V8 engine, rebuilt transmission, was a California/Florida car painted in factory Green color that is original color, for Summer 2011, this is stripped and now painted factory Silver Blue, all original body panels, terrific floors, exceptionally solid car, all body panels and floors appear to be original from careful examination, really top mechanical condition, the original and excellent 289cid ‘C’ code engine with 4v upgrade is rebuilt from all careful examination, high compression, the check of heads and examination show the rockers are fresh, fully dated heads that show rebuild, full engine show detail finished, a full dual aluminized exhaust system, new white Pony bucket seated interior in wonderful condition, the floors appear to be all original, not molested, not painted but as factory and extremely solid, recent work (SEE LINK) on these excellent floors is just completed to make this a top driven show car, this work is hard to photograph as they are original and the photos would not do them justice they are so nice, very solid and hard to find so good that these lower rocker panels have the original Ford Stampings, note that the fenders are the correct FOMOCO ones with the proper stampings as factory, the restoration work is very important, reinstall of rear end (LINK), prepped for paint, primered and blocked (LINK), brand new 1965 chrome styled steel wheels, new radial 205/75/14 radials, full alignment just completed November 2011 (SEE LINK), this restoration completed ready for Fall 2011 shows, just professionally buffed (SEE LINK), really hard to describe how pretty this car is in person, just finished, has “great eyes”, $50,000
