A true 1970 “V” Code factory Super Trac Pac with the desired optional 440cid Six Pack engine with Dana 60 rear end, the numbers correct from careful examination and past history, very strong ‘440’ build with high compression, the paint of the factory color of Hemi Orange color with the Black hood and side contrast stripping is an awesome presence, finish terrific, VIN#JS23VOB174775 appears on the engine, the underchassis is detailed as the top driven show condition, the steel panels appear to be original and very straight, the original fender data tag and the body numbers appear to match (LINK ), the black bucket seated interior is restored ‘as factory’, this includes the headliner and the doors, all the gauges work in the correct dash excepting the clock, the radio even works as does the tachometer, the factory console is fitted with the correct pistol grip shifter, has safety belts, the paint and luster look terrific from recent detailing, the glass works well, power front disc brakes with braking system checked, the factory data tag yields all the information 1/1640 such muscle cars produced, 15” Ralley wheels with trim rings, center caps with Radial TA’s yield both a great look and solid handling,

Engine/trans/rear end: here is the famous ‘big block’ 440cid with the 3x2s along with the factory appearing Edelbrock intake with the Holley carbs under the factory air cleaner, the engine has the VIN # OB174775 on the engine, the date code is 1.21.70, with dry cold reading of the compression in the 167 lbs to 175 lbs showing how even it is, numbers found on the these numbers on the intake manifold between the first and second carbs “CHRY3412046  and CH6B”, has the 4-speed manual transmission with VIN #OB174775 with Dana 60 and the performance 4.10:1 rear end gears, SEE LINK TO LIST OF NUMBERS, (LINK), the carburetors are Holley’s and the intake is an Edelbrock with the above stampings that are shown on our number sheet, with manual pull choke just installed, this car ‘fires’ as it should,

since this car was in a collection for a few years, to prepare it for Spring 2012 driving, Fraser Dante’s senior tech set the performance, full timing and carberators setting, part of the fresh setup from being in a collection and how getting in fine running condition included changing the oil two times using 20W50 and oil additives, then idling the car and changing it for a second time and running it again for another ½ hour, new filter, fresh plugs, then big block ‘loose’ engine with the valve train sounding sensational, we listened to the even ticking of the valves on both sides with a socket extension, sounds very period and strong, has very powerful acceleration with the limited test drive just completed, since Fraser Dante did not build the engine, it is possible there is a uprated cam shaft from the sound but we just don’t know, fresh plugs and tune with all fresh fluids as mentioned, sounds strong even across, fresh engine detail with new cooling,

BODY: as a slightly older rotisserie restoration that was then placed in climate controlled collection, this has paint and body that are just outstanding, the Hemi Flame Orange color is gorgeous with Spring 2012 detailing to bring out the gloss, the black contrast on the hood and sides make the car look powerful, hood pins hold down the hold, the Black bucket seated interior fully restored and padded, full factory console, full headliner, side panels are fresh, this vehicle has had a complete rotisserie restoration and kept as a collection for investment purposes, all correct, factory components are shown with the original fender tag (LINK ), all body numbers match, rare to find a numbers matching transmission, one of less than 1,640 units produced, gorgeous paint, highly detailed underchassis, (SEE LINK), this is one of the most desirable muscle cars in the collector car market,

SUMMARY: this is equipped with optional power front disc brakes, both the front brakes and the rear drums have just been checked, again 15” Rallye wheels with center caps and trim rings, very seldom does find such a beautiful Challenger in the top year of 1970 that has the VIN number on the engine and transmission, after being found in a collection from a serious ‘car guy’, this went to Fraser Dante for a full check of all systems to insure a car that can be driven with enjoyment, full cooling system flushed, mechanicals just completed by top tech, the full braking system is complete checked to work properly, (SEE LINK), the dry cold reading was taken with wonderful compression of 167 to 175 lbs that is outstanding, (LINK) even the brake and blinker lights work, Owner’s Manual (LINK), $59,950
