Basic Info: outstanding presence that is a result of highly built laid fiberglass with exceptional fit around, the paint is truly
smooth and ‘glass like’ in its finish, this Competition Orange has great presence along with the side ‘factory’ Raydot mirror, as shown in some of photos, the door hinges are better that original with heavy duty quality, there is no sag that exists in most Cobras and even the original factory Cobras that make the closing easy, the heavy duty fiberglass of the body and fenders makes a sturdy construction, there is NO SHAKE in the body when driven, this feels more solid than a factory Corvette when driven, the firm adjustable suspension yields performance while having a Cobra that is ‘screwed together’ to very high standard,

ENGINE: here is a wonderful Ford factory ‘crate’ new engine with 535 Horsepower that is streetable, built with forged internals of
pistons and other components, this Ford Racing 427ci crate engine makes 535 hp at 5600 RPM with a 10.4:1 compression ratio making it perfect for naturally aspirated applications and 93o octane gas, intake is the aluminum Edelbrock ‘Super Victor” hi-rise, Holley 4v with electric choke, Cobra air cleaner, Ford Racing engineered and built this engine for drive-ability and durability while still offering a throaty muscle car growl,

this Ford Racing crate engine has been built with a Boss 4-bolt main block and features Mahle forged pistons, the build includes aluminum Ford Racing "Z" cylinder heads that are light weight, these give easy cooling and are worked for the best flowing, a hydraulic roller camshaft with roller rocker arms makes this easy to maintain, additional features include SCAT forged steel H-beam connecting rods, SCAT forged steel crankshaft, double roller timing chain (this are excellent Technical Notes), this factory build engine does not include distributor or intake manifold when shipped and has the Ford Racing recommended MSD ignition system and distributor (SEE LINK) and Edelbrock intake manifold that are installed as show above, performance flywheel installed for the final build, the engine is neutral balanced, note that for build and maintianence, this full wiring set up is set forth by colors and thusly easy to keep in running condition (LINK), very strong streetable power, the LINK shows how Backdraft subsidiary does the installation,

enhanced cooling is provided by an aluminum radiator with a 15” electric fan, a switch for the fan is on the dash, running tests in the low 80s had this running at 175o, stainless coolant pipers fitted with rubber hose to the engine connections, all VDO gauges, oil pressure, 2 temp gauges, volt meter, fuel gauge, 8000 rpm tach, 220 mph speedometer, steering is a rack and pinion system that makes this a quick responding performance car,

Running gear: has the 5-speed Tremac transmission, this is the TKO-600 5-speed heavy duty unit, proper shifter and handle, there is large spacing between the gears for optimum performance with running at 2200 rpm at 70 mph, these later builds have heavy duty axels to handle these large horsepower engine, independent rear end, sourcing from the BMW M3s, the rack and pinion steering rack is specially set up, see the LINK of the full suspension of this really fine handling Cobra, note that the suspension is fully adjustable with current set up for the best street performance,
Factory equipped with the 17” alloy light weight knock-off wheels, have the true spinners as were used in racing with wire tie downs, these look very ‘Cobra’ with new radial tires, these are Goodyear Eagles, fronts are 245/40/17s, rears are 315/35/17s, multi-link rear suspension that is specially made in the build, the rear independent suspension, ladder type jig welded chassis that is more engineered that the original Cobra, the materials and welds are upgraded,

Summary: the paint and body are really terrific, the glass and prep work outstanding, great luster and presence, has the riveted hood air intake with ‘427’ decals, windshield side ‘wind wings’, ‘smoke’ sun visors, has the center mounted rear view mirror along with the side ‘factory’ period Raydot left hand ‘period’ mirror to watch traffic, the steering wheel is the period wood and aluminum unit, floor mats, color of beautiful gray that is off-while seats, has the 4-point Crow Racing safety belts, chrome roll bar, outside LeMans fuel filler, side inside door pulls with period latch, front and rear racing racing lifts, full operating lights, horn and windshield operating systems, this build yields a very authentic looking Cobra, here is just completed with but 1300 miles, just sorted from the build, one could never complete such a wonderful Cobra at the offered price, $43,950
