Fabulous, Concours 1970 Boss 302 Mustang in Grabber Orange with outstanding credentials, fully restored to Number One top Driven MCA Show condition as the mechanicals were extremely part of the restoration, Black high back seats, this initial finish work was done in the 2007-2008 period including the full mechanical check at Fraser Dante after being found at a serious Ford show, then sold to a collector and put on a turntable in his private collection until December 2011, then the car was gone through again, today this has but 15,368 original miles with many original parts still on the car or saved in the restoration showing its showing its authenticity, matching numbered engine and transmission, only two owner’s before professional restoration, now three owner’s, provenance confirmed by factory BUILD SHEET, Marti Report Original Invoice for VIN#0F02G116512, this is the original matching number engine, rebuilt to factory standards, even the dated DOZF carberator just show restored by Pony carberator, rare close ratio 4-speed transmission, fresh full clutch assembly, the suspension and braking system is outstanding, two sets of wheels and tires,

History: here is the best colors of the era, this famous Grabber Orange was used in the 1970 TransAm series by Parnelli Jones and George Follmer, (Brochure and Photos), then at the Rolex 24 Hour Race in 2008, photos document the #15 car is still being promoted by Ford in the GT series (SEE LINK), initially this particular was showed at a Ritz Carlton show in Florida even before a major Ford show in Florida where Fraser Dante found the car, the further restoration was finished for late Fall 2008, the final work is now December 2011, note that at the Amelia Island Concours in March 2008, Parnelli Jones was featured with the race version of this car, photos fully document Parnelli and the #15 Grabber Orange Boss 302, Tom Fraser is shown speaking with Parnelli discussing this chassis #0F02G116512 and commenting about the engine and performance of this Boss, Parnelli gave advice to the final tune of this wonderful investment grade Boss 302, restoration finished in spectacular condition, fantastic floors, note the red oxide and proper Orange body color overspray, outstanding mechanical condition to complement the cosmetic work, all aspects to extremely high standards,

a 1970 Boss 302 in the ORIGINAL COLOR that is widely accepted adds to the investment value of this top Boss 302, with the black hi-back bucket seats and the extremely correct with the original rear sail panels, all aspects are completed in this restoration, this ‘Boss look’ that is only for 1970s with many optional items includes the factory Shaker, spoilers and slats make this an true investment quality piece, the initial work was done by a top Boss/Shelby restorer before the final work finished by Fraser Dante for 2011,

Engine: the original 302cid engine is just rebuilt with the original pistons used that have the Ford numbers on them, photos document work and the build, this engine is completely rebuilt to stock specifications, the factory rev limiter still works, highly detailed engine bay as factory, an original shaker hood with the proper dated ’70 Shaker Air Intake hard to find, the valuable dated, correct DOZF 9510 carburetor is restored to Concours standards by Pony Carburetors, this very expensive, correctly dated carberator (SEE PHOTOS AND LINK) was done twice to show the great care for Concours showing as well as top performance by both Pony and Fraser Dante, note the NUMBER SHEET to show all the important parts of this car,

the original 4-speed close ratio transmission works great with numbers of C8AR 7006-D and the tag still on the transmission (SEE LINK) with proper original Hurst handled shifter, this shifts as it should, an effort was made trying to save earlier power steering unit, to make sure that this drives exceptionally, the original unit was send out and rebuilt by a top shop and while another unit in the proper color is installed for safety, both come with the car, in the final check of the steering, the original appearing idler arm was used, for safety, a new idler arm has just been added along with the original one as it had the older bushings in it, has front disc brakes fully rebuilt and detailed for show appearance, the rear drums were also done, has dual body-color racing mirrors, quick ratio steering, rebuilt competition suspension includes parts as needed with original pieces saved, note the original springs that are part of the package, fold-down rear seat, a full check was done of the clutch system since this had been only a show car previously, there is a brand new clutch system with pressure plate, throwout bearing and full system checked, in this process, the bell housing was checked, detailed and found to be original with the FoMoCo stamping and ’69 date code (SEE PHOTO), at that time, the transmission was sent to a stop shop to get the bearings when it went back in, note the photo of the matching numbered transmission that can only been seen when the transmission is out (SEE LINK), lots of work to make sure this famous Boss 302 works fantastic, the attached sheets give a lot of information that helps the condition and history of the car, note that the heads are shown with the date codes posted, it shows that the passenger head is dated 9.J.9 to match the car and the driver’s side is O.A.9, a few months later in January, since the car was sold in December 1969, one could only assume that there was an immediate problem with the head and the dealer immediately put on a factory head at once, of course these heads are completely rebuilt, these heads even have the dated “keepers’ on the rocker arms (SEE PHOTOS), note the engine has a Block Date Code of 9J15 and casting # of DOZE 60154-9 on the block (SEE LINK), the very, very valuable dated, concours carberator was sold to the second owner by Bob Perkins, this has just been rebuilt twice by Pony Carberators to make sure it looks great and works well (SEE LINK), the linkage is set properly for the carb and shaker induction system works as it should, this is all complete excepting the stock smog system that could be added,

Body: all original body panels, original CarLite Glass throughout car, all original floor pans that are highly detailed, this is a rare find with such solid and original sheet metal,

 Suspension: has a 3.50 standard axle ratio rear end, has repro Boss Magnum wheels and repro new F60x15 Goodyear Polyglass GT show tires to make sure this drives exceptionally, the full suspension is just set with new brake pads, also, this comes with the original tires that are the old Goodyear Polyglas GT F60-15s (SEE LINK FOR NUMBERS) and original wheels available, note the steel wheels, the trim rings and hubcaps, very unusual to find these original pieces (SEE LINK), both sets go with the car, here is a factory correct Muscle car with all original numbers matching drivetrain, very rare matching numbered transmission, even the rebuilt suspension has the original front brake rotors restored and on the car, (SEE LINK) and springs are now on the car with the original ones as part of the investment package, full photo documentation of the full restoration is on a CD for valuable history,

History: note the really beautiful lines as one of the most important cars ever made is the BOSS 302 as listed in THE GREAT BOOK OF MUSCLE CARS published in 1990, it also is The Mustang Chronicle with the color (SEE LINK), these were built as a real factory street racer, this car was featured in Mustang Monthly as one of the most important Mustangs and Muscle cars in America, this was a car produced only to make Ford eligible for TransAm racing with a production of 1628 in 1969 and then 7013 in 1970, produced with the heads of the 351 cid “Cleveland” V8 that are fitted to the 302cid block, this meant the 302cid that stayed within the 305 cid limit and could fight the Chevrolet Camaro Z28,

Interior: the full interior is correct with all the padding on the seats, door panels and headliner concours, has the Philco AM radio, noting that all the body panels and floors are original this presents as investment class, note the photos of the floor shown to the transmission tunnel area proving how sold and detailed these red oxided floors are, with absolutely fantastic paint and body work,

Exterior: the luster of the paint and aggressive look are better than new, the bumpers front and rear along with the trim are show condition, the trunk is in such outstanding shape that it has the original paint that is on the inner fenders, has the Ford stampings inside said inner fenders, the full Carlite glass in the car is from the factory, all the windows appear correct, note the full detailed trunk has the collapsible spare and jack,
