BODY: the factory Ivy Green color with the proper slight correct factory metallic paint that is highly buffed yielding a top luster finish, looks terrific, has the factory fenders, nice straight sides of doors and quarters, good trim pieces with the hood edge molding, new front grill moldings, proper ’66 side spears, stamped original rocker panels, finished with the lower rocker panel moldings, original stamped rear quarter panels with only a little work on the driver’s lower side that is nicely completed, the sides of the Mustang are very straight, the doors fit well, the original floors had some minor undercoating when initially found, they were so good that these floors were then stripped to the metal by Fraser Dante’s shop and then painted black to show how nice they are (SEE LINK), has lovely torque boxes, an underchassis like this is very hard to find, the proper VIN #6R08C140934 on both inner fenders and the body tag, this also yields where it was initially produced, this has a new windshield, all other glass is original CarLite, hard to find like this, nice white power top, the paint on this 1966 Mustang is set for driven show or ‘out to dinner’ quality, there is really nice luster of the deep green contrast to the white interior,
The Body Tag shows as body(76A) 2-door conv std buckets, Color (R) Ivy Green, Trim (D8) Parchment vinyl, parchment rosette vinyl with ivy gold (now uprated with the beautiful 1965 white interior), Date (08M) 12/8/1965, DSO (72) San Jose, Trans (6) C-4 Automatic, Axle (6) 2.80:1, recent history shows this San Jose car was recently in Hawaii for many years, a ‘spotter’ found this car for a Kansas dealer, he then worked on the car, then took to Fall Charlotte where Fraser Dante found the nice car, then it went back to Atlanta with the initial restoration completed Christmas 2010, a collector did but 168 miles in 13 months, then Fraser Dante had the chance to buy this back due to a move of said collector, another full FURTHER updating was completed for Spring 2012,

ENGINE/MECHANICALS: the 289cid V8 engine born as a ‘C’ code, now set up to ‘A’ Code specs with factory 4 bbl intake manifold with Edelbrock #1406 4 barrel (600cfm) carburetor with electric choke, (LINK TO NUMBERS), excellent compression with dry cold readings from 150psi to 158psi across (SEE LINK), this shows that work has been recently completed on the internals of the engine with such a good reading and very even across, the heads were checked and looked very clean, one can tell from the dates of the block and heads, this is a correct 289cid engine produced before the car, this fact is positive as there is no VIN numbers on these Mustang engines, the highest values of the ‘C’ and ‘A’ codes come when the engines are correct and ‘fresh’ with good build,
this has new a 2 ¼” custom, expensive aluminized system is mandrel bent from the exhaust manifolds back, full clamps, hangers and gaskets complete this factory ‘A’ code installation (SEE LINK), this brand new dual aluminized exhaust system is fitted with standard mufflers in a proper ‘A’ code set up, with the dual exhaust the 225 horsepower factory figure makes this a strong ‘driver’, has a Cobra dress-up kit with high detailing of the engine, the stock distributor fitted with “Petronix” electronic ignition for first-rate performance along with better fuel mileage, factory style 3-row radiator just flushed, washer system with pump and bag, drives through the C-4 3-speed automatic transmission that shifts great, has the rare and hard to get full power steering and power brakes that work as they should, brakes one at Fraser Dante, fits the GREAT cruiser aspect of this nice 1966 Mustang convertible, this is a combination that a lot of people desire all over the world, to insure fine operation and looks from the underchassis, the brand new fuel tank unit with sending unit, the trunk insulation is just replaced by Fraser Dante all to insure that rust free, fresh gas will feed this famous 289 unit and work well, (LINK),
INTERIOR: great looking new 1965 white seat covers just professionally redone by a top professional along with new seat foam just installed, when received, the seats had just been recovered with the ’66 Parchment Pony coverings but the full 1965 white interior and full side panels are a far better a contrast to the dark green than the 1966 color parchment that is really a darker color, this professional installation was accomplished in the Fraser Dante shop, also brand new Ssnake-oyl brushed buckle white front and rear seat belts, mounting bolts and washers in a effort for looks and these are top quality for safety, new standard steering wheel just refinished in white to match the interior, tri-spoke horn button, all new interior handle kit for doors and windows, new console trim bezel, new instrument cluster bezel/lenses, Jensen AM/FM/Cassette in stock location, no dash cuts, 80/20 loop carpet set completed, new door opening sill plates, new Day/night rear view mirror, driver’s side remote outside mirror, new convertible top boot, is equipped with back-up lamps and emergency flashers,
