1962 Corvette with updated drivetrain that is freshly built as a stock bodied resto rod with great looks with the stock body and the front hood scope, the optimum performance and excellent driving abilities, this Tuxedo Black body has a really gorgeous paint just finished that complements the fantastic Al Knoch Red interior, has black convertible top, the fresh 1800 mile with a built 350cid+ engine rated at strong 430 streetable horsepower with updated cooling, polished valve covers, polished pulleys with a polished fuel pump and thermostat housing, Edelbrock Performer intake and carburetor, this is mated to a Richmond 6 speed transmission, desirable 4 wheel disc brakes, Flaming River rack and pinion steering, MSD Ignition, the Currie 9” Ford live rear end, (SEE LINK OF SPECIFIC ITEMS), note that with the Arizona and Mecum sales in January 2014, these type resto rod stock bodied Corvettes brought simply amazing money, even better than stock, with the strong small block engine, updated full suspension and mechanicals, the customer base includes both younger and older buyers, ready for Spring 2014 with test drive just completed, a great investment!

Also included in the history is the Builder’s statement of costing and his background (OWNERS STATEMENT), this does not count the over 1000 hours of expert time, every nut and bolt done, chrome bumpers and all chrome trim looks new with no waves or imperfections, all the stainless highly polished, brand new weather stripping all around, only body modification is the use of a 1998-2002 Camaro SS Style hood, but it still looks right, Goodyear Eagle F1 225/55/17 tires on polished 17x7 American Racing Torque Thrust wheels, these modern wheels took a long time to source and mount as they have the diameter of the original bias ply tires to give a great stance to the Corvette, these have to be used to clear the modern disc brakes that make this car stop so well as well as going around a corner, brand new black convertible top, subtle upgrades done to the interior, Al Knoch real Red leather is glove soft, correct loop carpet is replaced with plush red cut-pile, original gauges replaced with premium Auto Meter gauges in the original locations, with accurate readouts, brand new dash pad and all interior paint is brand new, correct steering wheel, G-Force harness seatbelts, Custom AutoSound cassette radio looks stock mounted in the stock location,

Braking/suspension: now has 4-wheel disc brakes, new rubber brake lines just installed in the build for the best braking operation, original build with steel lines, new engineering shows that steel lines could develop crimps and this new work yields better braking, the fronts with new GM pads as well as the rears with new pads, (SEE LINK OF WORK), Flaming River rack & Pinion steering box setup makes this Corvette very easy and fun to drive, QA1 front coil-over system, there is an enormous file of restoration photos that include a list of parts used, fantastic photos of the build, believed to be low mileage and in outstanding condition, the underchassis build, (LINK) this is a proven show car, back in 2008, the initial build was completed, it then went to a number of shows where it usually won “Best of Show” (SEE LINK OF YEAR ONE), these outings were used in the final build and first road test of this great Corvette, was sold to a serious collector who did limited miles after this testing period, it now has but 1800 miles total in the driving in November 2013, the final detailing and presentation work is completed for Spring 2014 with final testing and set up by Senior GM tech,
