1969 Camaro RS/SS Pace Car Convertible, fully show restored both cosmetically and mechanically, really gorgeous Dover White car with proper restored orange interior, fantastic 'numbers' and dates on engine, heads, intake and transmission showing to be original, finished for November 2004, history shows low mileage and lots of continuing restoration, automatic, console, full working gauges, tachometer, correct Ralleys with Firestone F70x14s, SEE www.fraserdante.com FOR FULL PHOTOS AND INFORMATION, this write up gives extensive comments and known history of one of the most desirable cars is the 1969 Camaro Pace car convertible with the RS/SS options, the values of these cars continue to climb as they appeal to collectors of all ages, here is a low milage car with 69,075 showing and according to title history that is correct and part of the package, much Southern history, this is a very, very nice top driven show car with great lines and sides, having the proper console and working gauge package is a real plus, even the clock with second hand works in the late October finishing of the restoration, has extensive PHOTOS and the full numbers sheet on this car that are most important, a very correct car that one use on a driven top show basis, that is, it looks really great and drives wonderful, this is one of the best driving '69 Camaros one could want, the paint and body work on this car are extremely nice, the lines are so straight, great effort was done to make this cosmetically win a driven show award, has really good luster, beautiful shine, really a pretty car with the Pace Car stripe inserts also well done, information given is that the paint is Martin Senour base coat clear coat and the body was stripped to the metal before painting, all the chrome on the car is great, the front and rear bumpers look new, note the bumper guards, no signs of rust that we can see in any of this nice body, under careful examination it appears that only the right rear quarter was beautifully replaced during the body and paint restoration and the left was reworked in a fashion that is top notch and is a most professional job, this is a show paint for the top of the line #2 car, driven show, terrific but not a concours trailered car, as nice as you can drive, even inside the trunk area for the quarters are nicely done, we believe that this car went through two paintings in its restoration life as the outside was done after the drip panels and door jams were initially done, in October 2004, the final detailing was done in the those areas to make the car score exceptionally well in a show, the chrome around the whole is fully done including all the trim and script, great front and rear bumpers, has the dual outside chrome mirrors, this is the correct Z11 Indy Pace Car package on the body tag showing this car was should have been produced 02D, 4th week, February 1969, this is 1/3675 produced, of course, you must have a car produced before Indy, note that the new owner will have VIN #124679N612546 that all markings to be a 350cid, 300 horsepower engine with casting of 3932388 that is shown in the reference areas as a 350cid V8 for '69 to '74 cars, this is believed the original matching numbers with all date codes throughout the engine, see compression figures, part of the VIN numbers are in a rough casting place in the lower end of the block by the oil filter are hard to see that is normal for the small blocks, only a small faint numbers can be seen that is often the case, NOTE that all of the date codes are correct all signs this is the original engine, all of these numbers we can see are listed on our 'number sheet', with the 02D date, everything is within a few days when you check the heads and intake even being correct, it is IMPORTANT TO NOTE that all these codes are virtually factory correct, this engine is highly detailed for show, all the spark plug wires, clamps and hoses are correct, even the rear end gear that shows to be the 3.07:1 Positraction is shown to be BR0304G1 that shows dating of March 4, 1969, since there are no exact records, FOR COMPARISON REGARDING THE DATE CODES, one should note that Kevin Marti, the authorized Ford historian and decoder, states that cars are scheduled for production on a given date but actual production of cars could be plus or minus 10 days from the schedule, thusly, the 4th week of February could easily have the 4th of March date cast on the rear end, thusly, we believe this to be the original rear end but it is very close and dated, IMPORTANT, the underchassis is very solid, the underchassis is very nicely detailed, we think the underchassis and floors are all original to the best of our knowledge, only some work was done the rocker area when the floor was highly detailed, we can not find any floors that are replaced, NOTE THAT SUPER SPORT CARS HAVE A SPLITTER VALVE on the underchassis under the driver's seat, this part is not reproduced, this car has the original valve that is clearly shown on the photo link, this car drives really well as it looks, note this has correct spark plug wires, the GM hoses and clamps are correct, all filters are fresh, show labels, new battery cables, all date codes correct and castings on the heads and intake are for 1969 as the full sheet of 'numbers' back up this description, proper ignition coil, the engine whole interior is very clean and done as factory, new interior, the orange solid vinyl around the houndstooth is great, this is a headrest car with believed original headrest material, professional console with gauge package, all the gauges and the tachometer work, even the dash clock works, the repro dash pad is excellent, one can tell it is replacement and it brand new, has the AM-FM Autosound Camaro radio system with trunk mounted CD, nicely done, even has the day/night rear view mirror, great condition, the TH350 Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission is recently fully checked, this
