OLDSMOBILE 1970 Y74 FESTIVAL
W25 350CID PACE CAR CONVERTIBLE
FULL BEAUTIFUL RESTORATION
MATCHING NUMBER ENGINE
442 APPEARANCE PACKAGE

Very rare 1970 Oldsmobile Cutlass convertible that was an actual track car with full documentation with all cars listed by VIN# showing this was the car driven by Volney Howard right before the car give to the actual winner of the race, this was a true track car, photos show all of these cars at the track in their Festival 442 regalia, see www.fraserdante.com for full information and documents, this is a top, frame-on restoration with engine and body being redone, we do not believe this has been off the frame nor does it need to, the full records only show that FOR SURE the Y74 option on this car has the D35 Styled Sport dual outside mirrors and the W25 Force Air Induction system, this car is beautifully restored, when first completed, this was invited to the Meadowbrooke Concours Show the quality was so high, the body panels and paint are really outstanding as a top, top driven show car, has a Protecto-Plate from the second owner issued by Oldsmobile after being a Festival car showing how it was made and other original documentation proving its track history, we have gone back to previous owners to try to find any information that might be available, a real correct matching #s, 350cid with estimated 325 horsepower, since the normal 350cid engine is 310 horsepower, this rare track car has the W25 hood and full ram-air induction system that should bring it to the 325 horsepower but Oldsmobile does not give any additional rating for this option, also this has a set of non-stock power coated headers that were put on the car during the restoration that add power that could be easily changed if one wanted, these look great and make the car run well, people debate this latter horsepower rating but it is not logical that the ram air hood would not add power, this is extremely well detailed, the ORIGINAL FACTORY BOOKLET shows all the engine combinations with the Ram Air an added horsepower rating, this rare factory book goes with this show car, the engine is highly detailed with the dated spark plugs wires part of the show appearance, the engine runs simply great, the second sheet give all the numbers on this car, there is a chance that this Festival car had all the badging and dress up as part of the 442 look initially and was this was according to the woman who had it restored before Fraser Dante went through the car, all evidence shows this to be correct, we have traced much of the original documentation with telephone #s and addresses being out of date, we know this car was in Tennessee in 1991 when acquired for the restoration, note that this has the 442 bumpers, grill, has the FE2 Sport Suspension, front and rear sway bars, D-35 Dual sport mirrors, N-34 Custom Sport Steering wheel, 442 emblems on the glove box door, great automatic transmission with proper console mounted shifter with wood handle, power steering, power brakes, factory Air conditioning, the system was done in the last restoration and no belts were even used since the Arizona last woman owner wanted to show the car and did not want any fluids to come from the pump, this explains the loving care given to this fine vehicle in the last few years, in 2003 the a/c system was fully charged and works very well, the engine is top show detailed, this runs extremely well, this is the best driving '70-72 Cutlass that we have ever had, the suspension is tight, makes no noise when driving, the engine is smooth and strong, really exceptional, five factory Super Stock wheels that come with the 442 package, even the spare has the optional trim ring, terrific detailed trunk, very top mechanicals, the correct white paint and body are fantastic, solid and straight, all the contrast striping with the Pace Car decals are gorgeous and correct, brand new top, everything is done on this car, the black bucket interior in great condition, look virtually new, great seats, black padded dash in wonderful shape, new black carpets, four mats, full safety belts, has a clock that does not work at present, newer radio with factory stock radio to go with the package, headlights, windshield wipers, this car has a meticulous Arizona show history after the restoration in 1998, all of the suspension components are redone, brakes, bushings, tie rods, shocks, this drives like a new car, the underchassis is really great, very clean with rubbing and cleaning, painted black with an extremely light, light factory undercoating that is really heavy paint, the floors are so solid, driven show detailed for top #2 National show condition, very original, all signs that this is a true 86,560 mile car, really a rare and wonderful car with the powerful small block with track history, absolutely fantastic
