AUBURN

1935 AUBURN 851SC BOATTAIL SPEEDSTER, A fabulous Glenn Pray 2nd generation build of a gorgeous 1935 Auburn 851SC Boattail Speedster using many original trim pieces along with proper center chassis, the flowing of the body shape was used by this fabulous high design Auburn along as well as a similar Rolls Royce design of the era, this was so named as the custom expensive speed boats had similar designs ‘ducktail/boat tail’ rear design, this is finished in beautiful Off White with Burgundy fenders ‘as factory’ finish with pearlized hand rubbed paint, proper hand done pin striping and all special chrome and stainless unique to the 1935 Auburn is part of the presentation, items like the wind wings are hand etched, areas like the elegant windshield have the chrome support and trim from an original ‘851’ is believed to be extremely valuable, the color and presentation are truly “Movie Star” design, this feature the famous external simulated exhaust pipes exiting the hood, in this full build, special Hartz Burgundy top with full rebuilt frame, with wide whitewalls and body colored wire wheels and highly design grill and extreme bumpers along with the ‘side’ exhaust, the whole look is just gorgeous, the build is 400 miles, REDUCED $75,000

 

CHEVROLET

1957 CHEVROLET BEL AIR TWO DOOR SEDAN RESTO ROD, Here is a truly wonderful 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air Two Door Sedan Resto Rod in just gorgeous original Sierra Gold color coupled with the Adobe Beige, with the optional ‘Gold” trim package, the presentation and luster are just a terrific paint and body work, the full custom interior is Havana Rust contrasted with Cream in a faux leather, the color scheme runs to the special back seating area  hand installed through the rear package shelf, fresh show 400cid engine with 2x4s, full chrome has the master cylinder and power brake booster and other parts completed, all of this magnificent 1957 Bel Air looks just outstanding with the rear top fender moldings and side Bel Air chrome and insert that have been finished to perfection to couple the Bronze color, the fantastic chrome bumpers have guards, this whole car has been built to the highest standards both cosmetically and mechanically with a 50 mile build! the work is just completed in Atlanta Summer 2011, here is the ‘new’ 1934 Ford as this design appeals to many generations with the ‘50s design along with modern running gear along with ‘605’ power steering, terrific 4-wheel disc brakes, a fully built 400cid small block with complete pistons, crank and head work is built for street performance, extensive steel lines, $72,950

1957 CHEVROLET BEL AIR SPORT COUPE, A top, top trailered gorgeous Red show condition 1957 Chevrolet vehicle that is certainly a fresh and fabulous presentation as a World of Wheels First Place Winner in January 2012, this is after three such wins in 2011, has wonderful ‘eyes’, a serious preparation of a automotive work of art that couples outstanding mechanicals not often seen in show vehicles, with the LS GM 408cid engine that produces 550 horsepower, this package runs through the Richmond 5-speed transmission, 4-wheel disc braking accomplished by the Wildwood system, rear end in the expensive Moser 12 bolt strong unit, full Iditit tilt column with Classic Electronic gauges, power windows in the custom two tone leather bucket seated interior with console, $150,000

DODGE 1970 CHALLENGER RT, A true 1970 “V” Code factory Super Trac Pac with the desired optional 440cid Six Pack engine with Dana 60 rear end, the numbers correct from careful examination and past history, very strong ‘440’ build with high compression, the paint of the factory color of Hemi Orange color with the Black hood and side contrast stripping is an awesome presence, finish terrific, VIN#JS23VOB174775 appears on the engine, the underchassis is detailed as the top driven show condition, the steel panels appear to be original and very straight, the original fender data tag and the body numbers appear to match (LINK ), the black bucket seated interior is restored ‘as factory’, this includes the headliner and the doors, all the gauges work in the correct dash excepting the clock, the radio even works as does the tachometer, the factory console is fitted with the correct pistol grip shifter, has safety belts, the paint and luster look terrific from recent detailing, the glass works well, power front disc brakes with braking system checked, the factory data tag yields all the information 1/1640 such muscle cars produced, 15” Ralley wheels with trim rings, center caps with Radial TA’s yield both a great look and solid handling, $59,950

FORD 1941 SUPER DELUXE CONVERTIBLE, Here is a lovely and rare 1941 Ford Super Deluxe Convertible with 221cid flathead V8 and presented in a gorgeous Dark Sheridan Gray paint with wide whitewalls, has the believed mostly original with Red leather interior, rare cream steering wheel, the high design of this ‘new’ era is presented in remarkable fashion with very solid frame, steel body and excellent mechanicals, this car had a complete frame off restoration in the early 90's and cared for in top condition ever since, final work just completed with test drive for Spring 2012, this is the back up for CIDER HOUSE RULES, a wonderful movie from 2000 with Academy Award nominations, this was used for photo shoots for the movie for two days as this fine quality vehicle was actually better than the car mostly used in the movie, the design of the 1941 Ford was a change from the famous '40 in that these '41s were considered to be the "biggest, flashiest, and heaviest" Fords yet built, with the evolutionary styling that evolved from head designer Bob Gregorie, this featured a heavier, stronger frame of some 100 lbs, the body was wider, had more integrated front fenders, a beautiful vertical bar chrome grill with two chrome low sub grills, larger rear fenders, many consider this a real design beauty, REDUCED $41,950

1949 FORD WOODY CUSTOM 2 DOOR 8 PASSENGER WAGON, outstanding preserved in stock condition with refinished rare original exterior wood,  the outside paint is the very desirable Midland Maroon Metallic recently painted,  great luster, this is the exact Ford Woody that has been used for many models as this is a ‘landmark vehicle’,  this ready for serious collectors or that cottage on Martha’s Vineyard,  the mechanicals are top notch, the original Flathead V-8 272 cid is freshly rebuilt, pistons, rods, Iskenderian crankshaft, rebuilt head/valve train, water pump, new Coker widewhites mounted on the stock body colored wheels with trim rings and hubcaps, braking system fresh,  for sure a two owner vehicle with 42,065 miles,  redone stock interior, correct dash, radio, heater, ID# 98BA-184480,  Owner’s Manual,  Restoration Guide, Wiring Diagram and other documents (SEE LINKS), these woody wagons had steel structures that were made in Detroit and then shipped via rail to the famous Iron Mountain wood plant, the 1949s are the most valuable as this is the last of the all wood cars including the real tailgate, this even has two sets of original type keys with correct leather holder, has the original floor jack and tool kit in the specially made ‘factory’ new period canvas bag bag,  tremendous effort is made for authenticity and top mechanical running condition,  the underchassis and frame are so very solid, here is a serious work of collectable automotive art, last of an era

PONTIAC 1962 BONNEVILLE SPORT COUPE, 1962 Pontiac Bonneville Sport Coupe in factory Starlight Black, proper Red three color interior, great presentation with the 8-lug wheels with red line tires, the believed original 389cid engine is fitted with 3x2 carberators,  now running with a desirable 4-speed transmission, has both power steering and power brakes, has the PHS to document the history (LINK), many factory brochures with history of this famous build (LINK), born with the 36P, 303 horsepower 4v engine, the upgrading is the factory 3x2 setup with 348 horsepower, full linkage and carb set up, the rebuild is shown with the terrific compression of 175 to 184 lbs across (LINK), dual exhaust system, the braking system is just rebuilt by a top GM technician with many special parts, the 4-speed transmission is very rare to find in this presentation today, road test completed, the Starlight Black looks excellent and is the factory color, the Red correct bench seated interior is finished in the three tone colors, the dash is nice, this very rare car still has excellent lower floors that are in top condition that are so hard to find, brakes just checked (LINK), note that this has the five 8 lug wheels that add to the presentation, with the fitting of the red line tires, this is a wonderful cruiser for Spring 2012, $24,950
