SHELBY 1999 SERIES I, Shelby Series 1 1999 is a one owner, 2320 miles from new investment quality sports car, it was a really high-performance roadster designed by Carroll Shelby and produced by Shelby American with his personal input for a sports car that was set to handle with the top cars in the world, the swoopy and glamorous body is a work of art itself, it is powered by Oldsmobile's 4.0 L L47 Aurora V8 DOHC engine with 320 horsepower at 6500 rpm, 290 lb·ft of torque at 5000 rpm and can be serviced at a GM dealer with their diagnostic computers for ease of maintenance, 6-speed rear transaxle transmission, it will do 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds and records 12.8 seconds in the quarter mile at 112 mph, top speed is 170 mph faster than the 427 Shelby Cobra), handling is the car’s strong suit, the 1999 car weighed at 2,650 lbs, the Series i is the only car ever designed and engineered by Carroll Shelby from a clean sheet of paper, and built from the ground up.
